Paul currently teaches songwriting at Sherborne School for Girls, is the specialist trumpet teacher at Trinity Academy, Bristol, the specialist music teacher at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the principal conductor of Somerset County Youth Band. He is also a very popular and engaging private teacher and continues to adjudicate and conduct in a wide variety of settings. 

Paul has given monthly masterclasses for the Cornwall Music Service Trust at Truro School. He has taught trumpet at Bristol and Exeter Universities and his conducting and musical duties have taken him as far afield as South Africa, USA, Malaysia and Greece.

In 1995 Paul was invited to be the inaugural Head of Brass for The Gloucester Academy of Performing Arts. Paul was delighted to be invited by Paul Archibald to coach on the prestigious English Brass Academy courses.

Paul has worked regularly with the countries leading youth ensembles including, The National Youth Wind Orchestra, The National Children’s Orchestra, The National Youth Wind Ensemble, The IAPS Orchestra, South West of England Symphony Orchestra, The South West Youth Wind Sinfonia and many county orchestras.

Over 35 years Paul has a 100% pupil and student pass rate for all ABRSM Trinity exams, diplomas and all pupils and students achieving one or multiple offers from music conservatoires.

Paul has a full current DBS certification.

Teaching and preparation for all music conservatoire auditions in the UK and International for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.
